  1. Dear Chance:

I’m a woman writer of speculative fiction. Quick Fall of Light, published this summer, is the story of a woman and an extraordinary bird who not only survive a modern-day pandemic, but the pursuit of a corrupt and highly aggressive pharmaceutical as well. At stake is a controversial, yet effective anti-virus. Even more controversial is how it’s obtained–from a colony of birds that have been listed as extinct since 1914. From here, the story unfolds through pandemic and the eyes of three people and a bird caught in its wake.

The book has recently become an award-winning finalist with USA Best Books of 2010 in both Visionary and Cross Genre Fiction.

I would be pleased and honored if you would take a look at Quick Fall with the idea of doing commentary on your blog. I can be reached at the above address(es). I found you through the Locus Online site which has posted Quick Fall as a “new book” for the end of September.

    Thanks for your consideration.
